## Use it when

- You want to know how many months of cash are left and the projected zero-cash date
- You need to compare base, best and worst-case scenarios
- You are deciding when to start raising or how much to cut

## Not for

- Financial or investment advice
- Predicting revenue without your data: the scenario inputs come from you

## What you get

A burn summary and scenario table in the chat, plus a CSV with the monthly projection and a Markdown report with formulas and assumptions.

## How to ask for it

- `/finance--burn-runway calculate how many months of runway we have left`
- `/finance--burn-runway I need burn rate with best-case and worst-case scenarios`
- `/finance--burn-runway analyze our expenses and revenue to see when we run out of cash`

## Author's description

Burn rate and runway from expenses/revenue, with best/base/worst scenarios

## Questions about this skill

### What data do I need?

Ideally monthly cash in and cash out for the last 6-12 months, plus the current balance and its date. Headline figures or a transactions CSV also work.

### Does it make up growth rates for the scenarios?

No. The best and worst-case inputs come from you, and it asks if you have none. Any range it cites, such as fundraising lead time, is labeled approximate.

### Does it work with accrual accounting?

Yes, but runway is a cash measure. If you give it an accrual P&L it will ask about collection timing and note the difference.
